With autumn upon us, it’s time to get out the Barbour outerwear. Here’s my Barbour Beaufort jacket. Here’s a little story about my jacket.

From the top of Giotto’s bell tower in Florence to the misty coasts of Northern California. From the top of Switzerland’s alps to the windswept prairies of the midwestern United States.

My Barbour Beaufort has been with me every step of the way. It’s been re-waxed twice and some may say it looks a bit shabby after twenty-five years of hard use. Nonetheless, I wear it proudly. Every bit of wear reflects the fabric of my life, every shred of damage is an homage to my travels and experiences. I could have it repaired but I won’t. Like my life, I like it the way it is.
