I appreciate and use spell checkers and online dictionaries but at times I am compelled to take my trusty Webster’s dictionary off the shelf and use the old school method to look up the meaning of a word or finding a new one.

It’s as much the feel of the pages and the sound of them turning as it is the dictionary’s content.

Sometimes, a writer needs the touch of a physical book to stir the imagination and start that magical journey to a new, yet to be created world.
